Tapping Therapy / Clinical EFT

What is tapping therapy?

Tapping therapy uses a unique blend of elements of talk therapy and Chinese acupressure to help your mind and body release stress. As you focus on a stressor, we tap on specific acupressure points on the face and body that send a calming signal to your nervous system and help you release the associated physical and emotional sensations. Most people feel noticeably more grounded within minutes. Through focused work via regular, 60-minute tapping sessions and tapping homework outside of sessions, we gently rewire your nervous system to reduce the negative impact of stressors on your life.

What can tapping help me with? Tapping is especially helpful for the following:

We teach a wide variety of breathing and mindfulness techniques so clients can find what works best for them. Our teachings draw from traditional pranayama, Buddhism, and adaptations of eastern techniques for western lifestyle and workplace contexts.

Through 60-minute sessions, we work together to first establish strong baseline breathing technique that fully utilizes the lungs' capacity. We then practice more advanced breathwork and tie breathing to mindfulness techniques. We identify aspects of your life where you lack mindfulness and consciously bring breath and mindfulness there. From there, we work to consciously bring breath and mindfulness to all aspects of your life.

Yoga

Our Hatha teachings are grounded in yoga's traditional Indian, spiritual roots. Our classes offer a balance of movement and stillness to raise your energy - physically, mentally, and spiritually. We offer beginner classes to establish proper technique, intermediate classes to maintain technique, and advanced classes to raise your energy to the next level. We can tailor classes to suit physical limitations or special needs, particularly for the elderly, in case of pregnancy, and in the case of injury - with sign-off and consultation from a physician.

Classes range from 60-90 minutes and offer equal parts exercise, meditation, proper breathing, and proper relaxation.
